01.00 P. M. – Inauguration Ceremony – the Momo (Carnival King) is crowned by the Rio-de-Janeiro mayor and he be given the city´s keys
07.00 P. M. – Samba Schools Parade by Children

09.30 A. M., Street Band Show Cordão do Bola Preta (Downtown)
04.00 P. M., Band of Ipanema assembles at Praça General Osório, Ipanema
07.00 P. M., Official Costume Competition at Hotel Gloria
08.00 P. M., Street Band Competition at Av. Rio Branco, Centro (Downtown)
09.00 P. M., Parade of Samba Schools in Access Group
11.00 P.M., The Magic Ball, will be held at Copacabana Palace Hotel
