There are many aspects which makes the carnival in Rio the best in the world. One of these is the perception of the samba schools which participate in the parade. It is these schools which add excitement and color to the parade. The central area also host carnival shows. The shows for the 2010 carnival will be held at January 10th and January 24th. These shows will feature samba music including the traditional samba music known as pagode. The carnivals are just not about costumes and music. The streets are perhaps the best place to enjoy the carnival in its true indigenous flavor. The Rio carnival is no different in this respect. One of the most fascinating and entertaining aspects of Rio carnival are the streets parties which dazzle all with the thumping music and the wonderful atmosphere. The carnival boasts of many streets festivities and almost any corner where people gather to sing and dance becomes a party venue. One of the most exiting street festivals is held at Cinelandia Square which is the best place to party in the great old way with amazing singers and orchestras.

The Samba is just not limited to the parade and floats but during the entire five days, all on the streets share their moves translating the whole area into one big bar under the sky.
