With dozens of beach parties and millions of visitors no one will be sleeping in Miami for quite some time.


The kids will lead the way and give a taste of the true Caribbean spirit on October 4th at the Miramar Regional Park. The junior parade will see thousands of kids dressed up in the amiable costumes dancing on the tunes of the music from the favorite DJs and the spectacular junior mas bands.

With the main parade scheduled for 11th October, the grownups will carry the party spirit ahead with their elaborately designed costumes and the grooving soca music. The parade at the Bicentennial Park will see millions of visitors and locals soaking themselves in the true Caribbean spirit. The party will continue all day long.

A display of arts and crafts will help in further giving a glimpse of the rich culture of the Caribbean islands. The carnival like each year will bring millions together, to dance with the rich music and satisfy their taste buds with the great Caribbean platters.

Theater of Performing Arts at the Florida Memorial University will see intelligent and confident young ladies in the age group of 17-25 contesting for this coveted title. The winners will be representing their communities and will aid in spreading the cultural values. This pageant is a part of the Miami Broward One festival 2009.

Miami carnival is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The launch of the festivity was unveiled at Mahi temple on August 22nd, the vibrant costumes, the powerful calypso and soca band performances here just provided a glimpse into what this colorful affair promises to showcase on October 11th this year.


The Miss Miami Carnival Pageant provides a platform to young women to come up and showcase their talents and put up their views. This event is managed by a non- profit organization which inspires young women to strengthen their values and let the world know their achievements.
The winners get to work for their Caribbean community and help the people understand the rich American and Caribbean cultures in their community.
The winners of this Miss Miami carnival pageant will be awarded scholarships, cash prizes besides airline tickets. The grand show will kick off at 6 PM in the evening and will have many entertaining and blasting performances. The pageant event hosted by Mike Andrews will have blasting music by DJ Maestro. The event will have special performances by NSM Dancers of Bollywood, Steel Pan Music and Steve Higgins.
A part from the ticket sale will be contributed to the Selman Lewis Scholarship Fund.
This is just the beginning of the multi-hued show that is all-set to entertain millions.
