This Carnaval 2010 in Rio de Janeiro had many fine marching through the schools.

Among the major names were Adriane Galisteu, Viviane Araújo, Luiza Brunet, Sabrina Sato, Ana Hickman, Paola de Oliveira, Letícia Spiller, Gracyanne Barbosa, Women Melon, Valesca Popozuda, Priscila Pires, among others.

The Rio carnival in Brazil is all about celebrating all the colors of life in the grandest manner. Samba is the essence of this carnival and the Sambodrome is its base. Rio de Janeiro is the real torchbearer of carnival mood in Brazil and the entire world. Though Brazil has other centers too, there is no touching the imperial class of Rio. The parade grounds are flush with events and the 5 main days bear special notice. Arrangements are on for Rio Carnaval 2010.

11th February
Fat king Momo will be crowned by the mayor. Carnival season starts with a day full of Samba beats. Manguiera schools will furnish students who will all perform their samba dances and the winner will be chosen and declared later.

12th February
The football team Flamengo will corner all attention with its red and black stripes. Once again, the spirit is wild for the whole night.

13th February
The city as a whole will celebrate on this day. There will be no shortage of revelry and madness.

14th February
The mood gets serious on Sunday with a glorious ball arranged. Some distinguished guests from around the world arrive.

15th February
MC Marcinho takes musical charge and some latest chart toppers in Samba and other local music emerge. The night is one of carousal and free beer will be served to one and all without count.

16th February
It is the best night of the carnival where inhibitions take a backseat. People indulge in open sex and wild dances. Gay costume ball is the theme for the night.
