stumbled on this site and saw your question. I&#039;ve lived in Rio on and off for a year and a half (twice during Caranaval).

You are going to pay an arm and a leg for hotels at that time and many of them will not let you bring guests (women) to your room and if they do they will charge you a fee.

best bet is to rent an apartment but you need to know someone who knows some on to get a good price.
