Miami and Broward join hands as, “One carnival 2009”; All ready to ignite the passions

This year the Miami carnival is bigger and more kaleidoscopic with Broward committee and Miami committee agreeing to join hands and organizing one carnival instead of two , same date as previous years, which makes it all the more brimming and more convivial. The delightful events and the soca and calypso band will keep millions of visitors from US, Canada, Europe and Caribbean on their feet soaking themselves in the beach parties, the soca cruises, the Jouvert mass and the grand parade.
The most spectacular street festival kicked off at Mahi temple on August 22 with a sleek preview of the flashy costumes and the infectious music of the participating bands.
Miss Miami pageant, Sep 20, 2009
This event of pageantry will see confident and young females working their way to win this coveted title. Held at florid Memorial University the grand show will be anchored by Mike Andrews and will have special performances.
Saturday October 3rd
Saturday night mass
The blue and white mass will be held at the Palmetto Bay Village Centre from 10 pm. Loads of Angostura and the steel bands like Fire Asylum and 21st century Steel Band are sure to keep everyone hale and hearty.
Sun October 4th
The kids’ carnival in Miramar Regional Park from 12 noon to 8 pm featuring steel bands and DJs will see kids geared in vibrant costumes all ready to rumble in the junior parade and concert.
The grand parade October 11th
This grand fiesta with live music and exotic Caribbean dishes will kick off at 9 am at the Bicentennial Park and will see a gala display of hues and sounds.
The Miami Broward One carnival has numerous dance parties at the various clubs, cruises and the jouvert parties to keep the party spirit alive and kicking with whacky music. The event as always will be an electrifying experience for all. Be naughty or be nice and enjoy this jazzy festivity, as a once in a lifetime occasion, to enjoy fun and entertainment to the fullest…
