Carnaval 2010- Information and Schedules for Latest Carnivals

Caribbean is known for its fun- filled grand carnivals and the one carnival celebration which definitely is the best among these is the Virgin Islands carnival. The carnival on St. Thomas Island attracts millions who indulge in the merry- making and many exciting pageants. The Virgin Islands carnival 2010 will be celebrated from April 11th to May 1st 2010 and will host many special events. The carnival is full of vivacity and vibrancy with carnival revelers giving their best performances on the calypso and soca tunes in the street parties. The carnival will commence with the Princess and Prince selection in which the little ones will display their talent for all to witness.

The carnival then proceeds with the Queen Selection on April 17th in which the indigenous beauties compete in various categories which span across cultural wear, evening wear and swimwear. Junior calypso, Toddler’s Derby, Senior Citizens Tramp and many such events make sure that all in every age group can come out and participate in the carnival festivities which make the Virgin Island carnival more special for all. Carnival is the best way to bring all from different strata of the society to celebrate as one and Cape Town is joining in the celebration with its inaugural carnival from March 18 to march 20, 2010. Cape Town is undisputedly one of the favorite destinations of many owing to its being a heavenly natural abode and with the upcoming carnival the city attempts to try something unique and new. The carnival aims at bringing all the different communities to celebrate as one and also let the world witness the unity which lies in the vast diversity.

Rhythm, roots and boots has been rightly chosen as the theme for the 2010 carnival and signifies the inherent talents that the world would witness through dance, songs and colorful parades as also it marks a special tribute to the rich heritage. March 18 2010, would witness a star studded carnival fashion show which will have hot models displaying some of the best designer works in the country. Themed carnival balls and a youthful street party are lined up for March 19 followed by a carnival parade competition on March 20. The carnival in Cape Town will in all sense be a unique representative of the cultural, psychographic and demographic aspects of South Africa.

Last to enter the Sapucaí, was the Hose samba school to cheer up the audience with his story about Brazilian music.

The school, which this year has seen several changes in its direction, and the return of Carlinhos de Jesus as Choreographer Battery College.

And the school also had problems with his opening wagon, which had a principle of fire, yet the problem has been solved and not hurt the note from school.
