Dominica Carnival has been one of the most vital and celebrated occasions which is usually held in February. This year, it was enjoyed with a lot of more cherish and enjoyment than ever. This carnival was held in Dominican island in the afternoon which was a boon for the public where everything from the music and floats to the annual parade did a wonderful combination to enjoy.

This year the spectators experienced an incredible weather and the audience enjoyed every bit of the carnival. Though the economy was little damping yet the carnival was organized in such a way that it attracted a large gathering. It was seen that a number of bands and gangs participated with grit in the opening parade. It was the real and unique folklore and celebration in Dominica.

This Dominica Carnival 2010 is a trendy mixture of culture and tradition, which shows the rich heritage of the location. The main events, which were scheduled this year were Junior Calypse Monarch, Miss Dominica Pageant, Street jump-up, traditional Masquerade and National Parade. No doubt, the visitors were lured by the shine and spirit of the Dominica and were mesmerized by the efficient vibrant visuals and festivities sounds. So this is nothing but an occasion for mixing raw culture with the latest styles and fashion.

Unidos Da Tijuca – the proud winners of the Rio carnival 2010

Rio carnival is not only the greatest carnival in Brazil but also in the whole world and this can be simply dedicated to the spirit of all the Brazilians. All the people who are associated with the carnival helps in making it the grandest show on the entire planet and this does not go unnoticed. The winners of the latest version of this enigmatic carnival that concluded in Rio saw the winners depicting through their carefully chosen theme that art of winning is indeed a mystery. Secrets of humanity were very colorfully depicted through the gangsters, magic tricks, GQ characters and even a tribute to the musical icon Michael Jackson.

This samba school which was the third in line for the parade used 6 floats and 32 wings comprising of 3600 components. The entire act was indeed an illusion for the millions who were mesmerized by the dancers changing to new costumes just in seconds without giving the slightest hint to give away their trick. King Solomon’s mine, Trojan horse and disappearance of Ten Commandments were just some of the secrets which were portrayed beautifully through floats and costumes. Unidos Da Tijuca did show the world that it is indeed a secret to be chosen number one from amongst the best samba schools.
